In May 2008, the State and Federal Governments approached Common Ground Adelaide to establish a housing program in Port Augusta.
Common Ground will manage up to 40 units of accommodation utilising existing housing stock and through building new housing as an initial start up in this area.
Housing SA will contract with a local not-for-profit agency to provide support services to tenants of the Common Ground accommodation.
The first stage of accommodation is expected to be completed at the end of 2010.
