Community Partners & Sponsors

The South Australian and Australian Governments have committed capital funds for the development of Common Ground on Franklin, Light Square and Port Augusta - $25 million in total.

This has enabled 131 apartments to be constructed for people in vulnerable housing situations in South Australia.  However these funds do not cover all of the costs associated with establishing and running these projects.

South Australian companies, businesses and individuals have already shown their support by contributing close to $4 million in cash or in kind assistance.

Santos committed a total of $3 million to be paid over a 5 year period for capital, programs and staffing.

Fundraising is an important source of revenue for all future developments.  Common Ground is asking for assistance in the form of tax deductible cash donations or in-kind support from business leaders from the corporate, government and community sector to partner us in providing creative and effective solutions to homelessness.

How You Can Help

With your support, Common Ground will expand its efforts to build safe, attractive, affordable housing, and provide targeted programs to meet the needs of specific groups at risk of becoming homeless, including young people leaving foster care, low income working adults, people in crisis and those with serious health issues.

There are many ways to help Common Ground, including:

  • Providing cash donations
  • Providing products
  • Donating or discounting the cost of equipment and furnishings.
  • Pro-bono professional services
  • Scholarships or financial support for tenants to pursue their educational goals
  • Mentoring
  • Volunteering.
